The Manticore: Children's Book Illustration

This Illustration, "The Manticore" was a piece done for a conceptual children's book about mythological monsters. It was my goal to take a mythological monster and make it less threatening by transforming it into an old man combined with a lion. This Illustration was a collage of several different painted textures, a technique introduced in my Illustration class.
